The Challenge

Children with special needs: physical, social, or psychological are rarely seen as the heroes of their own stories. Iattaca was founded to change that. As Romania's first comic magazine platform with a social mission, Iattaca creates superhero stories inspired by real children with disabilities, sells them, and donates back to improve the quality of their lives. The brief was to build a visual identity for an NGO that needed to feel bold, joyful, and emotionally resonant without falling into the visual clichés of charity branding.

The Approach

The logo is a dynamic symbol built around a single powerful insight: behind every superhero mask, anyone can hide. The mask becomes a metaphor that works on two levels simultaneously: the children who are the superheroes of every story, and the donors who are the superheroes of every child's life.

The symbol was designed to be energetic and adaptable, carrying the spirit of a comic book while remaining clean enough to work across digital platforms, print, merchandise, and fundraising materials. The identity needed to inspire action from readers who buy the magazines to donors who fund the mission.

The Result

A visual identity that transforms a social cause into a universe worth joining. Iattaca invites participation. Every person who buys a comic, shares a story, or donates becomes part of the story themselves.
